Q. I have paid my booking for the 2020 conference already. What happens now that it has been postponed? You have 2 options if you deposit has been paid: 1) leave your deposit in to reserve your spot for the 2021 conference or 2) contact your booking secretary to have your deposit refunded. If you haven't already heard from the BRF Fellowship or your booking secretary on this, feel free to get in touch. Q. I've already booked my flights. What should I do about it? Policies vary from country to country and airline to airline so you would need to contact your airline with regards to how to go about changing flights, getting a voucher, or cancelling flights. Some people who had planned to attend the conference have already had emails from their flight provider offering vouchers or free flight changes so you likely will be hearing from your airline soon if you haven't already. Q. I had reserved one of the limited number of en-suite rooms. Will I still get that room reserved for 2021? If you have already booked in and been allocated an en-suite room, that will not change provided you leave your deposit with us to reserve that en-suite room for 2021.
Q. What do you mean by en-suite? En-suite rooms are rooms with their own private bathroom. Most rooms at the conference will utilize shared bathrooms. These are considered "standard" rooms in the pricing guide. Currently there are 12 en-suite rooms and the potential for 2 more to be finished before the conference. NOTE: EN-SUITE ROOMS HAVE ALL BEEN CLAIMED. WE ONLY HAVE STANDARD ROOMS AVAILABLE AS OF 2/3/2020. Q. Do you have disabled rooms available? There are only 2 disabled rooms available at this venue so if you are someone who NEEDS this option, please contact us as soon as possible. Q. Is it possible to get a single room to myself at the conference if I'm travelling on my own? Sadly there are no single rooms available at this conference venue. If you are travelling on your own to the conference you will be allocated a shared room with others in a similar position. Q. What do you mean by "adult shared standard/en-suite"? There are no single rooms available at this conference venue. The prices listed are per person for shared accommodation. For those travelling on their own to the conference, we will be allocating you in rooms with other individual travels. If you are coming with friends who you would prefer to room with, please indicate this on your booking form in the additional comments section. If you are coming with a spouse or family, we will allocate you a couple/family room. Q. Are towels/bed linens provided? Yes, these are included in the price. Q. Can the conference venue accommodate my special dietary needs? If you have allergies or food intolerances that would need to be catered to please remember to include this information in the additional comments on the booking form. We will then liaise with the conference venue in advance for you.
AQ. Who do I contact with my booking forms and questions not answered here? If you are in North America, you'll be working primarily with Briana Prins. If you are in Asia, please contact Lisa Ong. Anywhere else will be working with Kristin Crossett. Go to the Booking tab above for contact information for each of them. Q. The form and this website states "first come, first serve" with regards to booking. Do I need to be concerned about everything filling up right away and not getting a spot? A. First come, first serve is more with regards to specific room requests (we have limited numbers of single rooms, disabled rooms, etc). We are confident that we will be able to comfortably fit everyone that books in, but specific requests for room assignments will be met based on availability when you book. That being said, it greatly helps us (and you) if you don't wait until the last minute to register! Q. Is full payment due when I register? A. For those in the USA, Briana (the booking secretary) would prefer the payment all in one go. Lisa Ong will be organizing payment details with those in Singapore. For the rest we will only need a 20% deposit when you register and then the rest by a date specified when we release the booking forms. Q. When is payment due? A. For those in the USA, your full payment is due by June 5, 2020. For those booking in the UK, your 20% deposit is required when you register for a spot and the remainder of the payment is due by June 10, 2020. For those booking outside of the USA and the UK, please speak with your closest booking secretary to make arrangements for payment times/methods. Q. What is the cost in US dollars? A. Pricing (per person): Child Standard: free (0-1 years), $55 (2-3), $130 (4-7), $195 (8-11), $240 (12-18), Adult Shared Standard: $325 Adult Shared En-Suite: $435 (all en-suites have been claimed as of February 2020) Please note that due to shifts in currency exchange, prices for USA booking are subject to change. If necessary, a price shift may need to be made near the June 5 deadline. Thanks for your understanding. Q. If I'm paying by check, who do I write the check to? A. If you are paying from the UK, checks must be payable to the "British Reformed Fellowship" (NOT to the "BRF") If you are paying from the USA, checks must be payable to "Briana Prins" (NOT to the "British Reformed Fellowship" or the "BRF")
Q. Where should I fly into in order to get to the Conference? A. There are quite a few options for you. We will be adding to the "Travel" tab above soon which will be updated with more detailed information on some of the options and also links for help with public transport soon so keep an eye out for that! Q. Will there be airport pick-ups/drop offs available to get us from our airport to the Conference and back (or to a B&B before/after)? A. Given the small size of the CPRC and the multiple options for when/where people arrive, we will not be able to offer individual pick-ups or drop-offs before or after the conference. We will be adding a Getting There tab above with more detailed suggestions for getting from point A to B and help with figuring out public transport etc.
Q. Do I need to go on the day trips? No, these are optional extras. If you aren't interested in them you can use that time as you wish. Q. Do I need to make a decision on the day trips now? If you're interested in the day trips it is helpful for you to indicate this on your booking form for planning purposes. It is not, however, necessary to pay in advance and you can change your mind while at the conference either way. Q. Do I need to pay for the day trips in advance? No, we would like everyone to pay at the conference for the day trips. This gives you the freedom to change your mind depending how you are feeling at the conference itself. The prices are listed to let you know what to expect. It is helpful for you to indicate if you are interested in either/both of the day trips, though, as this helps us with planning for them.
